Derek has been a teacher at MHS since 2002. He was recognized as an exceptional teacher and coach who is committed to student success. Students find him to be enthusiastic, relatable, and empathetic. His classes focus on teaching students essential reading, writing and thinking skills. This year Derek did a terrific job as a coach for Unified Sports. Derek was joined by his family when he was recognized at this week’s MHS faculty meeting.
